Hungarian Halfbred

The Hungarian halfblood is not a real breed. It's more an amalgamation of several breed and mixes. For example a purebred Nonius can also get this appellation.

Most Hungarian halfbloods are virtually indistinguishable from other Hungarian sports horses. The male blood line of Hungarian sport horses is mostly an non-Hungarian horse (eg Holstein). Hungarian halfbloods have mostly Hungarian blood for at least two generations (Kisber, Nonius, ...)

Either the horse was not "pure" enough for a specific breeding association or the bredder did not have enough money for the registration of his horse in a special breeding association.
